Biography - Ian Widgery Music Producer
Like Music Productions, Vancouver, Canada.
Originally from the UK Ian has produced/ remixed over 70 projects from David Bowie, Human League, Robbie Williams to Faithless, from EMI, Virgin to Sony records with sales in excess of 4.5 million.
Ian started producing and writing at the age of 13! at 16 he signed
his first record deal and began producing house music. 1996 Ian
remixed girl band B*witched which entered the UK top 40 at #1 the
same thing happened in the US as the single also entered the
billboard chart at #1.
>1996 saw Ian produce & write as Skynet UK (a trance/club project) & signed to ultra cool London record label Whoop! Records.
Skynet UK had vast successes, the track "Open The Floodgates" became on overnight club anthem crossing the dance music genres with DJ support from Pete Tong, Paul Van Dyk, Sasha, John Digweed, Judge Jules & the legendary Tony De Vit, to name a few!
Many more tracks were to follow including the massive “Holdin’ On” “Clear Skies” & "Way of the wave" which featured at the time vocals from an undiscovered Alex Parks (Winner of BBC “Fame Academy”)
Skynet UK songs have featured on Hollywood films such as 2001 “Just Visiting” (Directed by Jean-Marie Poire, featuring Christina Applegate & Jean Reno) and over 60 compilation CDs from Perfecto to Mute Records.
> 2003 time for change Ian decided it was time to leave the UK behind & expand his musical horizons on Asian inspired music with the help of Morton Wilson (Schtung Music) this contemporary take would end up inspiring a completely new sound

> 2003 Ian moved into Schtung Music HQ in Central Hong Kong & began to Produce and co-write the ground breaking album
"Shanghai Lounge Divas" -Which no introductions are needed.
Shanghai Lounge Divas was produced under the wings on executive producer Morton Wilson at Schtung Music HK. This album took undiscovered Asian music to new heights while at the same time exposing the whole world to Asian musical history.
No surprise this album has been in the top 10 for over 3 years, The best seller list for 70 weeks and songs have been included in the soundtrack to the US movie “Domino” (Directed by Ridley Scott)and feature on many “Uber Cool” compilations albums from EMI, Audiopharm & Wagram.
>2005 Ian relocated to Vancouver, Canada and set up global music production/ Recording company Like Music, which in late 2006 will release it first music productions globally.
